Specialist Programs
The school offers specialist Art, Music and Physical Education programs as well as additional programs. The school positively and actively encourages students with learning difficulties.
Performing Arts
Creativity knows no bounds in our Performing Arts program, with students engaging in a hands on lesson involving music, dance and drama each week. Whether they’re belting out tunes, mastering choreography, or bringing characters to life on stage, every child is encouraged to shine brightly in a supportive and inclusive environment.
From exploring the many instruments in our collection to performing on the big stage as part of our biennial whole school production, our program fosters a love for the arts while nurturing each child’s unique talents.
The performing arts are not just about entertainment but also essential for building confidence, teamwork, and communication skills. Through collaborative projects and hands-on experiences, students learn the value of cooperation, resilience, and dedication, preparing them for success both on and off the stage.
Visual Arts
Our spacious Visual Arts Room allows the children to explore and experience a wide variety of materials. Sessions incorporate the exploration of painting, drawing, construction, modelling and textiles.
Art and craft activities are also integrated with units of work in the classroom. Artwork created by the children takes pride of place in classrooms, the foyer and around the school.

Wattle View students explore scientific principles, use technology and design solutions, and apply mathematical concepts to real-world challenges. Our goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning and curiosity about the world. We aim to empower students to become future innovators, inventors, and leaders in a rapidly changing world.
Physical Education
The Physical Education program at Wattle View Primary School is designed to help students foster a love of physical activity and sportsmanship from an early age. The program focuses on teaching the fundamental motor skills such as running, throwing, catching, jumping and balance. These skills form the building blocks for all students to participate in a lifelong journey of physical activity.
Building on from these skills students work on teamwork, fair play, and game strategy. These skills help develop students physically, emotionally, and socially.
At Wattle View Students are given many opportunities to represent their school in various sporting events. These include District Swimming, Cross Country, District Athletics, Winter Sport Galas, School Aerobics and Hoop Time.
Physical Education at Wattle View is about having fun and including everyone no matter what their ability. The main aim of the program is to inspire children to be lovers of movement and physical activity for the rest of their lives.
